Practice Based Commissioning
Practice Based Commissioning means GP practices in Bexley are increasingly leading the way in commissioning decisions on local health services. It is putting local clinicians, with their close understanding of the health needs of their patients at the forefront of improvements in health services .
Practice Based Commissioning in Bexley is divided into three separately run companies, covering distinct areas of the Borough - representing North Bexley, Clock Tower and Frognal, with a Bexley Federation bringing them together to share expertise and provide a pan-Bexley approach for certain services.
Bexley Care Trust staff work in partnership with these companies, providing support as required on such issues as commissioning information, IT support and governance.
