Maternity choice

Having a baby is a life-changing event. As parents we want to offer you all the support you need to have your baby how and where you want to.
From the moment you find out you are pregnant, your life is transformed forever. You can choose maternity care by contacting a midwife, speaking to your GP or by directly contacting the hospital of your choice.
Depending on your pregnancy and your individual circumstances, you have a range of options about where and how to give birth to your baby.
You may choose to have your baby at home, at a midwife-led birthing unit, in one of co-aligned midwife-led birthing units or an acute labour wards.
Maternity sites offer excellent facilities and have a reputation for quality care for you, your baby before, during and after giving birth. You and your partner can find out more about maternity units by taking a tour or attending a seminar. Find out more about each site below.
